Well, it looks like last night’s Art show at the Spring Hill Suites Marriot was a great success. Martha Flores danced and painted some beautiful Calla lilies in acrylic on canvas. Terry Johnson was there with quite a few of his pots and some of his paintings. All in all a dozen artists were represented. The hotel did a great job in providing the place, the food, the music and of course the wine and beer. It looks everybody had a great time. Jan Theriault took some picture which he forwarded to me as I am out of town and Mike Bonnickson the photographer for the Wenatchee World was there so; I’m sure some professional pics of the event will be in the Wenatchee World today.

This week is a big week for changing art at galleries. Martha Flores helped Artie Bowman and Sandra Dean change out the art and install the new show featuring the water colors of Yury Kronchev at the Cashmere Arts and Activities Center earlier this week. Yuri was trained at one of the most prestigious art academies in what was the Soviet Union at that time. He currently resides in Leavenworth . Martha Flores and I had the good fortune to meet him there over the summer when he was participating in the Art in the Park there. I can’t wait to see more of his work as I have only seen a few of his works that he has had at the Cashmere Arts and Activities Center and what I saw at the park in Leavenworth.

Back in Wenatchee members of Two Rivers Gallery will be changing out their work this weekend. I’m out of town so; it looks like I won’t be able to install anything this month… oh well, grand babies over art.

See you at the Cashmere Arts and Activities Center on Oct. 10th for the opening and reception for Yuri Kronchev. Have a very artful day.
