For the third spring in a row and the seventh time in nine years the Panthers are district champions (the other two years they were second.) Now this Friday and Saturday they are off to the regional tournament at Central Valley in Spokane….and they have taken the title in that event the past two years. Those who do well at the regional affair earn berths in the state tournament the following week in Richland.

Five Panthers move on to Spokane. Nick Mandelis and Lucas Tilly won the doubles title at district, while teammates Scott Willis and Nathaniel Noyd placed third. In singles Sohail Qazi took third.

Final district results with point totals: Wenatchee 42, Richland 32.5, Walla Walla 18.5, Davis 17, Moses Lake 15, Chiawana 5.5 and Eisenhower 1.5.

The 2012 season is over for the girls. They finished sixth in the district, tied for second in the league with a 4-2 record and overall were 7-3 for the season.

Final district results with point totals: Davis 29, Richland 26, Walla Walla 23.5, Eisenhower 23, Moses Lake 12, Wenatchee 10.5 and Chiawana 7.
