Kelowna 7, Wenatchee 5 last night.

Wenatchee at Kelowna 6:35 tonight.

Wenatchee’s magic number over the Bells remains at one...a single AppleSox win and a single Bell loss and Bellingham is out of the playoff picture and Wenatchee is in.  With Wenatchee’s loss last evening and Bellingham’s 8-2 win over Victoria, the Bells are still alive.  Walla Walla pulled a game in front of the AppleSox by topping Bend 6-3.

In the South Division Medford kept their hopes alive when Walla Walla beat Bend.  If the Sweets beat them two more times, the Rogues and Elks tie for second and Medford gets the second playoff spot because they beat Bend four times to two.  Interesting situation for Medford.  They played their final game the 8th and the players have to hang around day to day to see if they finish number two.

Road Woes

Wenatchee has lost six in a row on the road and nine of 10.

For the season they are 8-17 in “away” games or 32.0 percent.  This is currently their worst percentage on the road in their 14 years.  Next lowest is 2008 at 34.8 percent (8-15).

August 10 Games

Like the 9th, the 10th of August has been OK, but not a banner day for Wenatchee either. They are 4-3 overall, 3-3 in league games, 3-2 on the road and have a one-game losing streak.

North: Walla Walla 29-22, WENATCHEE 28-23, Bellingham 26-26, Victoria 21-31, Kelowna 18-34
