...WINTER STORM FOR MUCH OF THE REGION POSSIBLE LATE THIS WEEK... .A LONG PERIOD OF LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL ADD UP TO POSSIBLE MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OVER A 24 TO 36 HOUR PERIOD. ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BEGIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN THE CASCADES AND BEGINNING THURSDAY EVENING OVER THE REST OF THE REGION. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF OVER MOST AREAS BY LATE FRIDAY...SNOW SHOWERS

WOMENS BASKETBALL (3-3)

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Raider Invitational Tournament at Lakewood

Wenatchee Valley will participate in a tourney hosted by Pierce, and the young ladies will face the host Pierce Raiders in their initial game Friday.  Over a span of 34 years WVC has played Pierce 13 times and on 11 occasions emerged the victor.  The Knights are 5-1 in the Raiders gym.  The first five times Wenatchee Valley played this team the school was called Fort Steilacoom.  The name changed in the 1986-87 school year.

In addition to Wenatchee Valley and Pierce, other teams in the event and the Knights record against each are Clackamas (6-4), Columbia Basin (52-33), Green River (10-8), Lane (8-10), Peninsula 2-2) and Tacoma (8-3),.

 

 

MENS BASKETBALL (4-4)

In somewhat of a rarity the men have no games this week.  It’s happened before, but not very often.
