Barr on 2-Bagger Binge

Ryan Barr has 13 doubles.  With half a season to go, the Wenatchee outfielder is only one shy of the team record of 14 set by Zach Mandelblatt in 2007.  And he is definitely in reach of the league mark of 18 by Tyler Christian of Bend in 2011.  


July 9 Games

Wenatchee has seen better days than 7/9.  They are 7-7 overall, 4-7 in league games, 3-3 on the road and have a 1-game losing streak.  They are 0-1 vs. Corvallis...a 5-2 loss a year ago in Oregon.  


Wenatchee is in a 19-day stretch with only three home games.  There were eight days without games here, then three with Victoria and now eight more.  Paul Thomas Sr. Baseball Stadium has only felt this lonely one other time.  In 2011 the same thing happened – 8 off, 3 on, 8 off.  


The most consecutive days with home games was the beginning of 2007.  That season opened with the AppleSox playing nine straight on the local diamond.  The longest period with no home games is 10 days.  It happened in 2000 and again in 2011.  


Best Thieves?...the Knights, by Far

Corvallis swipes bases...a lot and successfully.  They steal 2.61 per game...second is Medford at 1.54.  And they are successful 81.1 percent of the time...second is Kelowna at 77.8.
