Friday and Saturday the Knights will play two games at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene.  According to the NIC site, the Friday game will be with the host Cardinals and Saturday morning they play Williston State College

North Idaho is a long-time and frequent foe of WVC.  Since 1975-76 they have played 39 times with the Cardinals holding a narrow 20-19 lead, and on their own court NIC lead 10-8.  North Idaho has played seven games since November 2 and has won six of them

This will be the second game with Williston State in three years.  In December 2011 the Knights played the Tetons, and like this time, the game was at North Idaho.  In the first game the North Dakota squad won 68-46.  The Tetons have already played nine games this fall and have won six.

The fellas have this down pretty well.  It’s over the mountains and through the woods to the Turkey Tournament we go.  And WVC knows the way.  This will be their 27th one of these affairs in 29 years.  In 49 TT games they have 20 wins and 29 losses.

Friday they open with Portland (2-1).  A year ago they played he Panthers twice.  The first time was in their second game of the Turkey Tournament and the Oregon outfit won.  Two weeks later they met again, this time at a Green River tourney, and the Black and Silver was the victor.  Overall the Knights hold a 7-4 lead in wins in a series that stated in 1974-75.

In addition to WVC and Portland, the others in Mount Vernon are Big Bend, Clackamas, Green River, Northwest Indian College, Skagit Valley and Tacoma.
