AppleSox Walk In Record Numbers
Home plate was an elusive item for HarbourCats hurlers last night.  They issued bases on balls to 17 AppleSox.  This totally obliterated the old mark of 12 when Moses Lake pitchers walked a dozen AppleSox in 2008.  And the massive walk-a-thon last evening occurred in just in the first seven innings.  For the game (eight innings) Victoria pitchers threw 99 strikes and 107 balls.

Da Divisions
A glace at the races for division champs with everybody having about 11 games remaining.
East.  Kelowna is out of the pennant race with one more loss or Yakima Valley win.
West.  Bellingham has the title with one more win or one more Kitsap loss.  Victoria and Cowlitz are eliminated.
South.  Klamath Falls is eliminated.

Second Hottest
The temp at the airport hit 105 yesterday, the second hottest day ever for a home AppleSox game.  The record is 107 on 8/1/09.  This was the 20th home game on 100-or-more days and the Sox are 13-7.  So far this season the mercury has reached triple digits six times, by far the most ever.  Old mark three in 2009.

July 30 Games
The AppleSox have won on this date in each of the last three seasons to even their overall record at 5-5...they are 4-5 league, 1-0 nonleague, they are 6-0 and undefeated at home and 2-1 away.
