Minds Eye, Pybus and Gateway VIP Lounge Art Photos and Remembering on Memorial Day

Well, Thursday last offered an opportune bit of rest and relaxation away from a busy schedule of clients and home projects. For a few hours in the middle of the day I did my volunteer stint as a docent at the Two Rivers Gallery where I enjoyed yet another chance to meander about the art and of course take a few pictures.

An Art Day in The Life at Bird Fest 2012

Well, Friday was a great day for art, birds and bird art in Leavenworth. From Noon till 5pm Martha Flores was scheduled to volunteer at the Bird Fest Art Show at the studio of Reed Carlson in Leavenworth, so I planned to get a bike ride in while she did the gallery sitting and then we would attend the opening reception for the High School and Middle School kids Recycled Art Show at the Icicle Arts Gallery from 5-7pm.

Dancing Zebra at the NuArt, Plein-Air at Beecher Hill and a Classy Chassis Clay Art Class

Well, great things continue to take place in the arts community around town. Serendipity was the word for the day yesterday for Artist Martha Flores who was happy to find amongst the old photos she brought back with her from a recent trip to visit aging parents in El Salvador, a clipping of her and Robert ‘Bob’ Graves from a Wenatchee World article from the early ‘90s that she had long since given up hope of ever finding. In that article she the first local Ethnic Heritage Award and Robert ...

Pybus, Putnam, Glass Balloons and Art at the Cashmere Mission District

Well, it’s been a busy last few days for me since returning from CA where I videoed the rehearsal for my granddaughters at their hip hop dance school and the trampoline birthday party at a place called Sky High Sports near the Orange county Airport from which I posted two video on Youtube.

The Haiti Connection - Daily Video Diaries - Episodes I & II

A two-man film crew from North 40 Productions has joined a group of humanitarians from Wenatchee that have traveled to Milot, Haiti for the last 20 years to deliver aid. Our goal is to document the efforts of a local group comprised of medical personnel, Rotary members and other volunteers who are delivering much-needed aid to a small town about 100 miles north of Port au Prince, the capitol city of Haiti.
