How far are we willing to go to achieve greatness?

"How far are you willing to go?" asked Dr. Gene Sharratt at the conclusion of the inaugural TEDx Wenatchee Valley event on Thursday afternoon. The them of the event was "Connecting the Dots," in reference to the habit of organizations and individuals to operate in silos rather than collaborate and cooperate.

Vox Docs offers us five amazing films

This weekend, Snowy Owl Theater in Leavenworth will host the third annual Vox Docs Film Festival that  features five award-winning documentaries. It's an opportunity for the community to take in outstanding films, including one Academy Award winner (20 Feet from Stardom) and another that received a nomination (The Square). Snowy Owl, just a year old, is an amazing place to see a performance so its a compelling opportunity.

There's nothing like a crisis to get the blood circulation and raise the blood pressure!   When we upgraded our presses with new motors and drives over the weekend, we had all the confidence in the world that the manufacturer would figure out a way to make the darned thing work. A chance to aid Wenatchee High's student journalism effort

Former longtime Wenatchee World staffer Dave Riggs stopped by the office Monday afternoon to talk about the journalism program at Wenatchee High School. Dave is in his second year as the advisor to the award-winning Apple Leaf and Wa Wa yearbook staff and he has continued a tradition of excellence that has earned numerous national awards.
