Having the chance to make photo galleries motivates me to go beyond what may normally be published in the newspaper and keep an eye out for interesting images on the fringes. That happened at the Eastmont homecoming on Friday night. The big game between rivals Wenatchee and Eastmont would be on the sports page but for the gallery, I could also include homecoming festivities at halftime.

So I hung around as the royalty were announced and thought it an interesting contrast between the muddy football player and the princess.

The fireworks display was also interesting to me and a challenge to find something in the foreground to play off of it. I like how on the small camera, the explosions of the fireworks display behind them is being cropped out.

The band performed in their red rain gear. I liked the moment when they marched toward the crowd.

But I think the most funny moment was when a group of students had to push one of the royalty cars along the track.

Here's a link to the rest of the gallery that night. Photo Gallery.
