I enjoy showing contrasting subjects in a photograph and at last Friday's basketball game at Eastmont, a contrasting element just happened in front of me. It was the end of the game, the team was celebrating on the court, then shaking hands with the other team. I had an inclination the team would next head to the student section so I tried to get there ahead of them. That's when an elderly gentleman, leaving the gym, happened to find himself in the direct path of the team.
I was able to get a few frames off of his situation and his expression before he got out of the way. Those unexpected moments are one of the reasons I love my job.
