I thought this was an interesting occurrence today, and indicative that this young man should do well in his future life.

My husband is a pretty regular customer at the East Wenatchee Taco Time. They make there a chicken soup available only there. It isn't a standard Taco Time item. It is made from chicken breast, fresh vegetables and rice, and is made fresh daily there at the store. It is the only thing my husband gets. The servers there recognize him, as he comes in each time we make our weekly trip to Wenatchee.

This week we were there two days in a row. Yesterday, as usual, he ordered his regular soup order, paid (did not look at the receipt) and ate. Today he went in and ordered, and paid. The young man who took his order took his money and then said, "Here. Take this. Yesterday when you were in, I forgot to give you the Senior discount, so here it is. And he handed my husband the proper change, plus the change from the previous day.

That is real service. I hope that wherever his future career lies, he continues the same level of customer service and thoughtfulness. And that's the kind of place we like to take our business.
