A long long time ago.....maybe 30 years....in a place far, far away....Dr. Demento used to have a segment on his radio show devoted to "sound alikes". You know, "My Sweet Lord" sounds a great deal like "He's So Fine (Do-lang-do lang)". Over the years these things have morphed into band sets. Redwulf used to do a "Louie Louie/Twist And Shout/Hang On Sloopy" sound alike medely for example. If you're not familiar with those songs, ask your father....or grandfather.

Morphing a little farther, the Axis Of Awesome put together a comedy bit called "Four Chords"......

......(yes, I've posted this before) that in turn has spawned countless "Four Chord" soundalike videos. Most of them aren't very good, but the song lists are amazing.

Well, my certified media hot-shot friend Ira (He IS a certified media hot-shot. He told me so.) sent along to me a You Tube video along the same lines. It isn't strictly a four chord thing but close, based around Jim Croce's "Operator" from 1972. It's very clever, and expresses the feeling I get sometimes when I think the music has passed me by.

Truely one of the best mashup's I've heard in a long time. Have a great weekend.
