Looking Back: Watching TV in 1962

Most of us watch TV whether we want to admit it or not.

Today, we have hundreds of channels available for our viewing pleasure.

Let's go back to a time when our television choices weren't quite so complicated.

This schedule was published in The Daily World on Nov. 11, 1962. Only three Spokane channels were listed: KREM (2), KXLY (4) and KHQ (6). For many years, those were the only channels available around here until the Seattle stations became available (and others) with the development of cable TV.

Every time I do research through The (Daily) World's microfilm, I find myself pausing on the TV listings page, remembering some of my favorite shows from the way distant past.

Did you watch any of these classics? What are your favorites?
