As I search out new music and bands, well new to me, I'm constantly amazed at how many are out there that I haven't heard off that have been around for apparently forever. Case in point, "Secretions" from Sacramento, CA. While I only found out about these guys a few months ago they have been around since....1991. Where have I been?

"Secretions" are a 3 piece punk band consisting of founding members Danny Secretion on drums and vocals, Mickie Rat on vocals and bass, "my" bass as he plays a black and white Rickenbacker 4001 and the "new" guy Paul Filthy on guitar and vocals. They have released five albums along with numerous EP's and compilations along with a few video's and they just did a show with a local favorite band out of Bremerton "Neutralboy" in Sacramento.

The following video was the first one I came across that initially got me into the band. The song is "That Kind Of Girl" off of their 4th LP, "Faster Than The Speed Of Drunk" 2007. When watching the video there's a bit of comment documentary going with in the video that's fun reading.

The next video is off of their 2002 release "Til Death" and it's "Double O' Summer".

And off their latest LP "Greasy, Hot, Meat, Cheezy" 2009 is, just the audio track but a favorite, "Back In The Day Punk".

I hope to catch them live someday. After 21 years, I hope I'll get the chance someday.
