The Koffin Kats-The Show

What better way to end a 3-day weekend than with a show, and what a show. “Snatchee Records” along with “Wally’s House Of Booze”, brought to us, all the way from the motor city, current kings of psychobilly, “The Koffin Kats” and joining them, also from Detroit was the return of “Against The Grain”.

Show Of The Week-Prophets Of Addiction

This Saturday the 22nd get your glam on with “Prophets Of Addiction”  from the west side as they invade “Wally’s House Of Booze” right here in Wenatchee. If you’re a youngster, this may be something new, if you’re an oldster (such as I) this will be a flash from the past.

Show Of The Week-Rum Rebellion

Sunday March 16th it’s a “Pre-Saint Patty’s Day Party” at Wally’s House Of Booze featuring Celtic punkers”Rum Rebellion” from Portland, OR as they finish up their north west tour. If you missed them when they were here last November, I’d advise not missing them this time around. Tyler Bennett on tin-whistle is rather amazing and they’ve added a sixth player to the mix, Jimmy Turner on accordion.

Friday the 10th, that’s TONIGHT! “Dept. Of Martyr’s” from Ephrata along with “The West” from Seattle and Wenatchee’s own “Rich And Rare Rebels” invade “Wally’s House Of Booze”! (where the magic happens). Music starts AT 9:00ish, the cover IS just a measly $5 but, sorry kiddies, this is a 21+ event.

Changes…For Better Or For Worse?

While checking various venue calendars for up coming shows, I came across “Walk Off The Earth” playing at the Showbox Sodo in February and “The Creepshow” playing at El Corazon in April.  What do these two bands have in common? Sarah “Sin” Blackwood.

Warped Tour Band Announcement Pt. 4

Five more bands have been added to Warped Tour and it's not looking good for me...no punk. New bands announced are "Chunk! No Captain Chunk!", "Nit Grit", "The Color Morale", "The Devil Wears Prada" and "The Ready Set".

Wally’s……Where The Magic Happens

A few days ago I wrote an blog commenting about the live shows I’d been to over the past year. Some of the venues were old favorites, others were new to me this year such as Wenatchee’s own  “Wally’s House Of Booze”.

Warped Tour 2014 Band Announcement Pt. 3

The third round of five more bands scheduled to play Warped Tour was released a few days ago. Included in the mix are “A Skylit Drive”, “Beartooth”, “I The Mighty”,  “Save The Day” and “The Ghost Inside”.  For me, these are not exciting. During the first wave of announcement of bands when “Teenage Bottlerocket” and “Mixtapes” were announced and being into the “punker” part that I am, I was thinking of going this year even though Warped Tour takes place at White River this time but unless more punker type ...
