I arrived at Saddle Rock in overcast conditions and it had just stopped raining. The clouds to the east seemed to be breaking up and I thought with luck they might clear over Saddle Rock.
When shooting time lapse sequences it's just best to walk away from the camera and let it do its thing. I started doubting whether the clouds were going to break up or not for about the first 30 minutes...I almost called it quits.
Then, rather dramatically the multilayered clouds parted and the sun came out.
