Using a triggering device attached to my flash I'm able to capture shots that happen in the fraction of a second.
The Nerotrigger device can be triggered by sound, light or a laser beam. Sensitivity and time delay are also adjustable. Dialing in the right adjustments does take some time...but results are much quicker than guessing when to fire the camera, or in this case the flash.
The exposure is done in a darkened room and is 2 seconds long. The flash unit firing at the right time is what the camera captures.
