Hello!

Welcome to the back corner table at the coffee shop where the Theater Geeks sit. We’re going to try not to get kicked out for giving spoilers, but hopefully our reviews of live theater in the Wenatchee area are entertaining and useful to you, the theater-going public. And coherent. We’re really hoping for coherent opinions, but if the show strikes a chord (or a nerve), we may rant.

We are a group of theater junkies who have acted, directed, produced, “helped out,” and even cleaned bathrooms to support our theater habit. We have served (and some still are serving) on theater boards, and often feel most at home near or on a stage. We simply love live theater.

We’ll try to catch shows on opening nights, so that you have the maximum time to benefit from our experience and catch the show yourself if it sounds good. If we can inspire you to see a show, audition for a show, or even just donate a few dollars to a theater, then “mission accomplished!”

In addition to theater reviews, we’d also like to get folks to come out for opening nights with us. We’re calling this “Opening Night Club,” and it’s for everybody and anybody. As Kevin says, “I hope it becomes an organized flash mob of theater junkies that just shows up to the opening performance of every show.”

Join us on opening night for Music Theatre of Wenatchee’s “Xanadu” on Thursday, April 26 to kick all this off. Show information and a link to tickets can be found at http://www.mtow.org.
