If you like wine, Saturday might be an exceptional day to stroll around Leavenworth.
The Bavarian village and Cascade Foothills Farmland Association will host its 11th annual Leavenworth Wine Walk from noon to 6 p.m.
Here's your chance to wander around the touristy town while enjoying live music and visiting 22 stops for wine, cider and distilled spirits. About 60 different wines will be available for tasting.
That's a whole lotta wine for those who care to indulge. But it's a great way to sample an assortment of wines from many wineries and find out which you really like for future purchases. Wine buffs know it's okay to spit.
Cost of the tour is $40 per person, $75 per couple, and includes a souvenir glass, discount coupons and chances to win several prizes.
Tickets can be purchased online at [www.cascadefarmlands.com], or at the Front Street Gazebo the day of the event. Phone 509-548-5807 or 509-433-1054 or go to websites www. Leavenworth.org and www.cascadefarmlands.com for further information.
