Winemaker's Journal — Spring wine walk

Shop, sip and stroll is the catchy phrase Wenatchee Wine Country and downtown Wenatchee shops are chanting to promote their Spring Wine Walk from 1 to 5 p.m. this Saturday.

The event is a great way to visit some fine shops in Wenatchee's historic downtown section while also getting to know some of the region's best wineries. Many wineries have recently bottled their 2013 white wines and vintners are excited to offer them for spring tastings.

This is Mother's Day weekend, so this might be a great way to treat the mom in your life, or yourself.

Tickets are $20 for a wine tote, glass and tasting passport good for 14 wine tastes and appetizers. Tickets can be purchased in advance or the day of the event at Pak-It-Rite or Davis Furniture, at either end of the walk on Wenatchee Avenue. Advance tickets can also be purchased online at wenatcheewines.com.
