Here's a list of current and former Wenatchee AppleSox that were selected on the third and final day (rounds 16-40) of the MLB Draft: Aaron West, 17th round, 519th overall, Houston

Owen Jones, 18th round, 596th overall, L.A. Dodgers

Alex Phillips, 21st round 664th overall, Detroit

Levi Dean, 23rd round, 701st overall, Seattle

Kyle Johnson, 25th round, 777th overall, L.A. Angels

Ty Moore, 25th round, 787th overall, N.Y. Yankees

Aaron Brooks, 26th round, 791st overall, Seattle

Ryan Gorton, 31st round, 949th overall, Oakland

Kris Carlson, 35th round, 1082nd overall, Tampa Bay

Breland Almadova, 37th round, 1143rd overall, Arizona

James Kaprielian, 40th round, 1210th overall, Seattle

  • Sox coach Ed Knaggs said Wednesday that Moore appears headed to UCLA, and thus will play for the AppleSox beginning this weekend. West and Kaprielian still have a decision to make as pro ball beckons.
  • It's the second time being drafted for Carlson, a former Wenatchee High and WVC star. He was also picked in the 2010 draft, by the Kansas City Royals in the 35th round.
