    Ever wanted to learn how to swing dance? This is the club for you! One hour beginning lesson at 7 p.m., then two hours of dancing to DJ'd swing music every Wednesday night at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center, 1312 Maple St. in Wenatchee. Cost is $5 per night, or buy a membership for $25 per quarter. A quarter is on average 14 weeks, so it pays to become a member. All ages welcome, no partner necessary. And no, you don't have to be a college student! So come and down and swing out!

    Frozen Assets: How We Can and Why We Should Save the Earth's Frozen Water Thumbnail
    Mountaineer and climate scientist Steven Ghan will take you on a visual journey along the crest of the North Cascades, showing evidence of glacier retreat as well as spectacular alpine scenery. Dr. Ghan will discuss the likely outcome and profound human impacts of the continued depletion of the world’s frozen water, and will offer concrete and effective suggestions to prevent the global ice melt.
