    Ever wanted to learn how to swing dance? This is the club for you! One hour beginning lesson at 7 p.m., then two hours of dancing to DJ'd swing music every Wednesday night at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center, 1312 Maple St. in Wenatchee. Cost is $5 per night, or buy a membership for $25 per quarter. A quarter is on average 14 weeks, so it pays to become a member. All ages welcome, no partner necessary. And no, you don't have to be a college student! So come and down and swing out!

    In 2013 Brian Sherrod of the USGS, Dept of Earth & Space Sciences, UW presented studies to us on prehistoric earthquakes in Central Washington, including a recently discovered fault in Spencer Canyon near Entiat. That fault is likely associated with one of the strongest earthquakes in recorded state history, magnitude 7.5. The origin of the 1872 quake has stymied geologists for a century. Brian will describe how he located the fault, showing evidence & photos of recent work in the canyon.
