    Wenatchee Valley Erratics Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute will join with Gingko Rock Club and Prospector’s Club to feature CWU geologist Nick Zentner. Zentner will present “Ellensburg’s Famous Blue Agates.” How did they form? How did they crop up in the Kittitas Valley and few other places in the world? The talk includes discussions of bedrock layers in central Washington, formation of blue agates in Teanaway Basalt, and an ancient river that transported agates to the Kittitas Valley.

    Ever wanted to learn how to swing dance? This is the club for you! One hour beginning lesson at 7 p.m., then two hours of dancing to DJ'd swing music every Wednesday night at the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center, 1312 Maple St. in Wenatchee. Cost is $5 per night, or buy a membership for $25 per quarter. A quarter is on average 14 weeks, so it pays to become a member. All ages welcome, no partner necessary. And no, you don't have to be a college student! So come and down and swing out!
