Description

Thirty six of the winning entries from the 2013 Washington State Federal Duck Stamp competition will be on display at Rocky Reach Visitor Center Oct. 1 - 31. Washington’s 2013 competition was held at Nisqually Wildlife Refuge by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in March. The Best of Show winner was sent to Washington D.C., and competed against the other states for the U.S. Federal Junior Duck Stamp. Washington State’s winner was 13 year old Emmie Dong of Vancouver, Wash., with a Harlequin Duck. The purpose of this program is to connect children with nature through science and art. Entry forms for 2014 and contest guidelines can be obtained online at http://www.fws.gov/juniorduck/
