Brittany Diann Marie Diksen
Waterville
Brittany Diann Marie Diksen, 18,
passed away on August 20, 2006.
She was born July 10, 1988, in
Omak to Howie and Tammy
Diksen. She spent her first 16
years at home in Mansfield where
she was active in Volleyball,
Basketball, Cheerleading, Track,
Annual Staff, ASB, FBLA, Spanish
Club and Drama Club. She moved
with her family to Montana in
November of 2004, graduating from
Valier High School in June of 2006.
At Valier, she continued her
involvement with Volleyball, Student Council, FCCLA, Honor
Society and the Annual Staff. Plus, she worked at the
Lighthouse Restaurant. Even with her busy schedule, Brittany
maintained a 3.86 GPA. She was a Kernel at heart and a
Panther in uniform. Brittany enjoyed shopping, scrap booking,
hanging out with friends, talking on the phone, watching old
movies, spending any time with her sisters, taking charge of
things around her and especially enjoying life in all situations.
She always wore a smile and made every effort that people
around her felt important and special. She was looking forward
to moving to Spokane and attending Spokane Falls Community
College with her room mate 'Aunt Mikki'. Brittany often reminded
s all that "Dynamite comes in small packages." She may have
been short in stature, but she was large in life.
Brittany is greatly missed and loved by her parents, Howie
Tammy; and her sisters, Raquel & Vanessa, of Valier, MT; and
numerous great-grandparents, grandparents, uncles, aunts,
cousins and many close friends. She was preceded in death by
great-granddad, Max Diksen; and great-grandmother, Beatrice
'Granny B' Wuolle.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday,
August 26, 2006, in the Mansfield High School Gym with a
Graveside Service following at Mansfield Cemetery. Pastor Ric
Bayless will officiate. Dinner will be served at the Mansfield
Grange Hall for everyone to fellowship and share memories. If
desired, memorials may be made to Mansfield or Valier Athletic
Departments, Mansfield or Valier Dollars for Scholars. Flowers
are welcomed. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the Waterville Funeral Home.
