Don passed peacefully at home after battling cancer.

His wife of 63 years, Bette, was with him at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise Livengood of Walla Walla, WA; his brother, Gordon of Seattle; and his beloved son, Jerry. Surviving are his wife, Bette; son Jim (Linda); and his grandchildren, Michelle and Jeremy (Megan) of Tucson and Scottsdale, AZ; and his sister, Dorothy Baker of Santa Clarita, CA. Also surviving are nephews, John (Julie) and Pete (Anne) Livengood and their children of Seattle, WA; and Scott Baker and his daughter of Upland, CA.

Don has been a Quincy resident for 51 years and he enjoyed many lifelong friendships. He was a sales representative out of Yakima, WA and retired in 1983. Don was an A-20 pilot in World War II and served three years.

Don was a living example of honesty and integrity and truly loved his family above all else. We are all going to miss him for his wonderful wit and his true care for others. He lived his life by the way of his favorite motto...you are judged by the way you treat the person who can do nothing for you. We, as his children and grandchildren, respect the loving relationship Don and Bette shared.

At Don's request, there will be no services.
