Charles Wesley Bovee Jr.
Charles Wesley Bovee Jr., 94, of Ephrata, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at his home.
He was born and grew up in Seattle and Bellevue, and lived in Silverdale and Seabeck before moving to Ephrata in 1950. He also spent a winter in Fairbanks, Alaska. He founded Silverdale Taxi, Kitsap Ambulance Service, and June's Bake Shop and drove a school bus in the winters. In Ephrata, he started a bread route and a food delivery service, as well as driving for Consolidated Freightways and Mayflower Movers.
Survivors include his children, Gail Luddington of Ephrata, Marion Benham, and Burt Bovee of White City, Ore.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Ephrata.
Arrangements are by Benson Family Funeral Service, Moses Lake.
Lorene Pearl Jones
Lorene Pearl Jones, 83, of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007.
She had lived in Wenatchee for 61 years, where she co-owned Parsons' Photography and worked as a photographic artist.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold Jones of Wenatchee; her son, Dean Parsons of Wenatchee; and her brothers, Gene Leonard of Wenatchee and Dyke Leonard of California.
A family open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at 1512 Skyline Dr., in Wenatchee.
Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
Billie L. Shoemaker
Billie L. Shoemaker, 69, of Wenatchee, died Thursday, July 12, 2007.
She had lived in Wenatchee for 40 years and she worked in hotel management.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Shoemaker of Wenatchee; her children, Eric Matthews of Everett, Karen Backstrom of Vancouver and Erin Bonine of Sandpoint, Idaho; her stepchildren, Michael Shoemaker of Portland, Ore., Lon Matthews of Kingston, Richard Brauher of Vancouver and Lori Seaman of Colorado; and her sisters, Helen Beardsley of Beaverton, Ore., Rita Eyler of Bellingham and Sally Roeder of Ephrata.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Wenatchee.
Arrangements are by Jones and Jones Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
Marjorie R. Neumiller
Marjorie R. Neumiller, 90, of Wenatchee, died Thursday, July 12, 2007.
She had lived in Wenatchee for a total of 45 years, and for 15 years in Omak. She worked as a fruit packer, bookkeeper, and an office manager for Dillon Electric and Apple Valley Electric.
Survivors include her children, Yvonne Green of Wenatchee, Pamela Wolford of East Wenatchee, Nadine Johnson of Omak and Ina Mae Kidrick of Tahuya; and her sister, Gertrude LeVesque of Williams, Minn.
At her request, no services will be held.
Arrangements are by Jones and Jones Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
