Ruby Eisner Sutton Eastman

Ruby passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2008. She was born at Vancouver, BC on October 21, 1913. She married Fred Sutton at Orondo, WA in 1935. They moved to Grand Coulee, WA and were there for six or seven years before moving to the Sunnyslope area in 1942. She was a very busy homemaker with her four children. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics and crocheting. She spent many years working in the fruit warehouses. Ruby married Paul Eastman on July 8, 1966, and became active in their orchard and home fruit stand, making many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Louise Eisner of Wenatchee; her husband, Paul Eastman of Wenatchee; two step-sons, Donald and Dick Eastman; three brothers of Vancouver, BC; and one sister of Spokane, WA. Surviving are her children, Joyce (George) McAlpine of Ephrata, WA, Louise (Jerry) Harlow of Wenatchee, WA, Fred (Carolyn) Sutton of Coos Bay, OR, Betty (Dan) Carlson of Snohomish, WA; step-son, Ray (Calista) Eastman of Everett, WA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Jones & Jones ~ Betts Funeral Chapel with Burial at Wenatchee Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Sunnyslope Brethren Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.
