Toni Marie (Guthrie) Shaw passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Central Washington Hospital, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Toni was born December 22, 1950, to John and Nona Guthrie in Wenatchee, WA. She was raised in Cashmere and Dryden, graduating from Peshastin-Dryden High School in 1970. Toni married the love of her life, David Shaw, in January 1970, in Dryden. They spent the rest of their married life living in Wenatchee, where they raised three children, Chris, Teresa and Dan. Toni loved children and had a small day care that she ran until her health forced her to quit. Toni also enjoyed a variety of crafts and researching her family history. To Toni, her family and friends were the most important part of her life. Toni was preceded in death by her younger brother, Dean Guthrie; and her grandparents. She is survived by her husband, David Shaw; her children, Chris and Beth Shaw of Malaga, Teresa and Robert Travis of Colorado Springs, CO and Dan and Jessica Shaw of Wenatchee; her parents, John and Nona Guthrie of Dryden; her sister, Brenda Dahl of East Wenatchee; her brother, Phil and Korene Guthrie of Dryden; and three grandchildren, Brittney Sehorn, Trey Travis and Tori Shaw. She is also survived by many family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by all. Services will be held at a later date.
