Kenneth Joel Meloy passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL. He was born in Spokane, WA on May 16, 1940. Ken served in the U.S. Marine Corp. for nine and a half years, and went to work for Eastern Airlines in Miami shortly after his discharge. He worked for Eastern for 25 years, starting as a Mechanic and eventually becoming Functional Manager of the Engine Service Center, a position he held until they closed. He then went to work for M&M Aircraft Services in Medley, FL, where he became Senior V. P. Maintenance, until his retirement.
