African Childrenâs Choir 7 p.m. Sept. 9; Free Methodist Church, 1601 Fifth St.; free, donations accepted 662-1729
The African Childrenâs Choir begins its latest tour in Washington, making an appearance in Wenatchee. Now in its 25th year, the group is made up of orphaned children from Africa serving as ambassadors for their continent. They have been featured on âAmerican Idol,â âGood Morning Americaâ and âEllen,â and have performed special concerts for George W. Bush and members of the United Nations. All donations go toward supporting education and aid for thousands of African children.

Cascadia brings the Mosaic Brass Quintet back to the Methow (they last appeared in 2006) for an outdoor concert at the Shafer Museum. The ensemble performs an array of music, including Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Duke Ellington and Cole Porter.
