Jessie M. Mason
Wednesday, December 2, 2009
When you live your life giving to others, you leave behind a legacy of love and kindness. After 82 years of living such a life, Jessie M. Mason died November 21, 2009, in Ellensburg, WA. An only child, she was born on April 15, 1927, in Burns, OR. She moved to Wenatchee, WA following her marriage to Robert "Bob" Mason in Whittier, CA, on October 20, 1945. Jessie spent many years working as a homemaker and providing an environment where her two daughters grew and flourished. Years later, she worked at the Wenatchee Sears Store, as a Receiving Department Supervisor. After Jessie and Bob retired, they spent the next 12 years traveling in their motor home to many places in the Unites States. Because of poor health, they moved to Ellensburg, WA in 2002, to be with their daughter. In the short time Jessie lived in Ellensburg, her gentle way and ability to always look for the best in people, endeared many friends that she made.
Jessie's parents and her lifelong love and husband, Bob, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Romppel of Ellensburg and Linda (Howard) Lane of Waterville; two granddaughters, Renee (Paul) Herd of Jupiter, FL and Dina (Steve) Patterson of Ellensburg; and five great-grandchildren living in Virginia, Georgia, Florida and Washington.
Following Cremation, the family observed a Private Memorial.
