Loren E. Browning, 71, of Quincy/George, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at his home. He was born on April 10, 1938, in Fromberg, MT. He grew up in St. Thomas Catholic Orphanage in Great Falls, MT before moving to Wenatchee, where he attended Wenatchee High School, graduating in 1956. Loren attended Wenatchee Valley College, where he completed and received his certification as a Journeyman Electrician in 1964. He married Gloria Bannister in March, 1960; later he married Patricia Bepple on September 28, 1985, in Coeur d' Alene, ID. He worked for Grant County PUD, retiring in 2002. He was a member of IEBW Local #497 of Wenatchee and IEBW #77 for 35+ years. He was inducted into the North Central Washington Fast Pitch Softball Association Hall of Fame in 1993.Loren is survived by his wife, Pat Browning of George; children, David Browning of Wenatchee, Jeff Browning of East Wenatchee, Todd Browning of Wenatchee, Tammie Lortie of East Wenatchee, Brian Browning of Parker, AZ, Wade Henson of East Wenatchee and Chantell Siomton of Spokane; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.A Celebration of Life Potluck will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009, from Noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Browning residence, 1019 Highway 281-A, Quincy.
