Linda Ann Stalder
Sunday, November 1, 2009
Linda Ann Stalder, age 68, of Addy, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Colville. She was born on February 20, 1941, in Oklahoma to parents, Louis and Ruby McCammon. Linda was raised in Tonasket, where she graduated from high school with honors in 1959. She was the Apple Blossom Princess in 1959. Linda married her high school sweetheart, Floyd "Merf" Stalder in 1959, and they had four children, Shaun, Kevin, Cristi and Kyle. Linda and Merf spent their first two years of marriage in Hawaii. They then moved to Washington for a time and also lived in Idaho and Alaska. They moved back to Washington three years ago, living the summer months here and then wintering in Arizona. Linda had a passion for children, flowers and her Heavenly Father. Linda was a true miracle, she was the longest living survivor of non Hodgkin's lymphoma; she attributed this to her faith and the love of her family. She will be truly missed by all who had the extreme pleasure of knowing her.
Linda is survived by her husband, Floyd E. Stalder of Addy; children, Kevin and Kyle Stalder, both of Anchorage, AK and Cristi Largin of Addy; brother, Robert McCammon of Tonasket; sisters, Patricia Bell of Tonasket, Nancy McKeen of Spokane and Betty Lundy of Battle Mountain, NV; grandchildren, Cole Sakata, Megan Stalder, Jordan Stalder, Milana Stalder, Treven Stalder and David, Nathan, Nicole, Dustin, Derick and Dawson Largin. Linda was preceded in death by one son, Shaun; and her parents, Louis and Ruby McCammon.
Services will be held Monday, November 2, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bergh Funeral Chapel in Oroville, with Rick Railston officiating. Interment will follow at the Loomis Mt. View Cemetery. Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville/Tonasket is in care of arrangements.
