Norman and Evelyn Carveth of East Wenatchee celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary during an Oct. 23 family dinner at Abby’s Legendary Pizza in East Wenatchee.
Evelyn Abbey and Norman Carveth were married Oct. 24, 1943, at the Wenatchee home of the Rev. Frank Beatty.
The couple lived in Oakland, Calif., San Jose, Calif., Hopeville, Calif., Chula Vista, Calif., Oahu, Hawaii, and Wenatchee before settling in East Wenatchee in 1963.
They are the parents of a son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Linda Carveth of East Wenatchee, and a son, Norman Carveth of Spokane. They are also the parents of the late Cheryl Boss.
He retired from Alcoa Inc. in 1986 after 22 years of service.
She worked as a packer at Welch Apples Inc. for 20 years. She is a homemaker.
The Carveths have seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
