Jay Robins of East Wenatchee caught this 54-inch long, nearly 100-pound sturgeon while fishing below Bonneville Dam in the Columbia River on Oct. 15. Robins says it took him almost 45 minutes to land the fish.
“What a Fish! It sound on me 4 times, reeling off over a 100 feet of line each time, before I could get it stopped, turned around and finally in the net,” he writes.
Robins was fishing with Chris McCart and Dan Christopher of Quality Fishing Adventures of Vancouver, Wash.
