Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton

SEATTLE — Seattle and law enforcement officers from throughout the region are paying their respects to slain Officer Timothy Brenton with a long procession and large funeral service at KeyArena.

More than 1,000 police cars are expected to take part in the procession that starts at 9 a.m. Friday at the University of Washington on a route through the city to the Seattle Center. The funeral is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

Meanwhile police continue to look for the killer who shot Brenton on Halloween night as he sat in a parked patrol car reviewing a traffic stop with rookie Officer Britt Sweeney who was wounded.

Police are looking for the car from which the shots were fired. It’s believed to be a white or beige 1980 to 1983 Datsun 210.
