Wenatchee Valley College students to honor veterans

WENATCHEE — A ceremony to honor Wenatchee Valley College military students, veterans and family members will be held Monday.
The event will be at 3 p.m. at Van Tassell Center on the Wenatchee campus.
Students and the community are invited to attend the event, which is sponsored by the Associated Students of WVC, the WVC Student Programs office and Intermountain AmeriCorps.
The event will include the singing of the national anthem; speakers from the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps; the recognition of individual veterans; a flag display; and a Fallen Soldiers Boot display. Taps will be played on the bugle by Bob Derry of East Wenatchee.
