Charles H. “Charlie” Abel, 69, of Florence, Ariz., died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009. He was a former longtime Wenatchee Valley resident. He had worked for Alcoa for 37 years, retiring in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Abel of Wenatchee; and his children, Mitch Abel of Bremerton, Darren Abel of Wenatchee, Brian Abel and Nick Abel, both of East Wenatchee, and Lynn Dutton of Arlington.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 20 at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee.
