SOLDOTNA, Alaska — The Wenatchee Wild won their sixth straight game Tuesday night, beating the Kenai River Brown Bears 3-2.

Kenai River scored the game’s first and last goals, but the Wild strung together three straight in the middle to claim victory.

After Kenai River’s Brad Fusaro had opened the scoring at 6:19 of the second period, Wenatchee’s Andrew Christ answered 4 1/2 minutes later.

Jeff Jubinville’s team-leading 11th goal at 5:27 of the third period put the Wild in front to stay. Jubinville has 24 points on the season, sixth-best in the league.

Mitch Torrel scored what proved to be the game-winner at 14:20 of the third period.

Trace Strahle got the Brown Bears back within one with a power play goal with just 35 seconds left in the game.

Brandon Jaeger turned aside 20 shots for his 10th win of the season. Jaeger is currently second in the league with a 1.95 goals against average.

The Wild play one more with the Brown Bears tonight before heading to Wasilla for games with the Alaska Avalanche on Friday and Saturday.

Notes

• Tyler Mort made his debut with the Wild on Wednesday. Mort has been on the team since training camp, but has been recovering from a shoulder injury.

• The Wild’s goalies are undefeated on the season. Jaeger improved to 10-0 with the win, and James Adamo has won his only start of the season.

Goalie Mac Carruth was 11-4 before being traded last week to the Portland Winterhawks.

• The Wild have now completed more than half of their road schedule for the year. They’re 12-3-0 in 15 road games.
