Cities get money to improve open access to records

NCW — The cities of Cashmere, Chelan, Leavenworth, Colville and Othello are among 37 local governments statewide to share nearly $200,000 in grant funding to digitize and microfilm public records.
The grant seeks to improve access to public records, the Secretary of State’s office said in a news release.
Cashmere will get $5,207; Chelan, $4,168; Colville, $4,888; Leavenworth, $10,000; and Othello, $9,472.
The funds are from the Local Records Grant Program.
