John Charles Henry, 58, of Malott, WA, died November 21, 2009. John was born December 22, 1950, in the Omak/Okanogan area to Loren and Violet (Theis) Henry. He attended and graduated from Omak High School in 1969. John then attended Spokane Community College, graduating in 1971, with a degree in Carpentry. John served in the Washington Army National Guard from 1971 until 1978. He was the President of Helensdale Irrigation District. John was a Journeyman Carpenter for Jones Brothers Construction. He loved the outdoors, hunting and wood cutting with his boys.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Susan (Fowler) Henry of Malott; sons, Loren Cole Henry and his wife, Caroline of Okanogan, Eric Justin Henry and his wife, Sarah Woodward and Chad Austin Henry and his wife, Nichole of Walla Walla; step-grandson, Corbin Ranck; granddaughters, Emily Florence and Payden Elizabeth; brother, Robert and his wife, Carolyn Henry of Omak; sister, Carol and her husband, Tom Belvill of Winlock; and niece, Cara Lee of Omak. John was preceded in death by his mother, Violet (Theis) Henry; his father, Loren Henry; and nephew, Christopher Belvill.
John will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. If he wasn't working, he was helping his friends.
A Celebration of John's Life will be held at the Malott Improvement Club, Saturday, January 2, 2010. More details to follow at a future date. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Funeral Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
