Keller Ferry runs again
Monday, October 19, 2009
DAVENPORT — The Keller Ferry service across the Columbia River will resume today.
The state Department of Transportation took the ferry out of service last week after it sprung a pinhole leak in the hull.
The Coast Guard approved the vessel, called the Martha S., to return to service.
The Martha S. began service on the Columbia River in 1948. The boat operates west of Grand Coulee Dam for 18 hours per day, making the two-mile crossing in about 15 minutes.
