WENATCHEE — The Boy Scouts of America has decided to sell historic Scout-A-Vista and Summit Lake camps — where generations of scouts have learned outdoor skills — to pay off debts.
“We’ve talked around these things for five years,” said Robert Fawcett, executive for the council. “Finally, we’ve come to a point where we have to do something. It’s an extremely emotional decision. Everyone would just as soon see a large donation fall from the sky.”
