OMAK — C.J. Lockwood scored on a 2-yard run with 36 seconds left to give Omak a 15-12 victory over Chelan in CTL football action Friday night.

“I think that’s the first time we’ve beaten Chelan since 1999,” Omak coach Nick Sackman said. “Lockwood ran the ball great, but for the second straight week it was our defense that won it for us.”

The Pioneers held the Goats to 144 total yards in the game.

“Our defense really got after it in the second half and really shut them down,” Sackman said. “We play a four-four, and our front eight was great in the second half against their runs.”

Omak scored first on a 4-yard run by Lockwood in the first quarter, and Dylan Green ran in the two-point conversion. So when the Goats scored later in the first on a 10-yard pass from Mike Amsel to Robin Weathersby, Chelan was compelled to go for two as well, and came up short.

The Goats missed on another two-point try after Cole Schwartz’s 1-yard scoring run in the third quarter and took a 12-8 lead into the fourth quarter.

Lockwood finished with 158 yards on 21 carries.

Omak can now finish no worse than fourth, and clinches a third-place finish with a win against Tonasket next week. Despite the loss, the Goats clinched a playoff spot when Tonasket lost to Okanogan.

Cashmere 55, Brewster 0

The Bulldogs spread the wealth in locking up the league title, as 11 different players carried the football in their shutout victory over the Bears.

Quarterback Tyler McNair carried just five times for 27 yards, but three of those runs went for touchdowns. One of McNair’s three passes also went for a score, a 15-yarder for Moe Roberts.

Ben Allen’s only carry of the night was good for a 54-yard score, and Michael Ruether also scored on a big play, in his case a 32-yard blocked punt return.

Cascade 56, Lake Roosevelt 6

The Kodiaks jumped to a 21-0 first quarter lead, doubled that advantage by halftime and never looked back against the winless Raiders.

Lake Roosevelt’s lone score came on a fumble return in the fourth quarter.

Evan Parton threw for 129 yards and three touchdowns for the Kodiaks.

Okanogan 27, Tonasket 15

It was Tonasket’s Wade Detillian — not Okanogan counterpart Ryan Price — who put up the big passing numbers Friday, but Detillian’s Tigers came out on the short end.

Detillian threw for 211 yards and a touchdown, compared to 103 yards and a score for Price, while Okanogan went to the ground to rack up big yardage.

Enver Figueroa finished with 174 yards and three scores on just 14 carries, including an 80-yard fourth-quarter gallop that sealed it for the Bulldogs.

Ellensburg 61, Ephrata 0

No. 1-ranked Ellensburg scored five times in the last 7:31 of the second quarter to take a 51-0 halftime lead and put the Tigers away early.

Ephrata was held to just three yards passing and 132 yards total for the game.

Grandview 22, Quincy 12

Jacob Massey was a beast for the Greyhounds, carrying 35 times for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Massey scored on runs of 4 and 72 yards in the first quarter to help Grandview to a 14-6 halftime lead.

Entiat 52, Bridgeport 6

The Mustangs couldn’t stop Entiat’s Angel Avelar, who rushed for 202 yards and a pair of scores on just 13 carries.

The Tigers rolled up 374 yards — 364 of them on the ground — in the victory.

Avelar started the scoring with a 92-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, helping Entiat to a 19-0 halftime lead.

Waterville 14, Manson 13

Manson tried some new people in new places against the Shockers, but came up a point short.

Nate Coggins and Casey Sorensen had previously manned the left side of the Trojans’ line, but started at quarterback and tailback respectively on Friday. Coggins completed 5 of 10 passes for 65 yards, and Sorensen ran nine times for 31 yards.

Gustavo Sanchez had 102 yards on 24 carries as the Shockers were able to hold on for the win after Manson went for a two-point conversion and the lead after scoring a touchdown with just over 10 minutes left.

White Swan 21, Soap Lake 6

Nico Nanez rushed for 127 yards on 15 carries to lead White Swan to victory.

Kyler Moats threw for 155 yards in a losing effort for the Eagles.

LaSalle 52, Liberty Bell 6

The second-ranked Lightning struck for three scores in the first quarter and cruised from there.

Tyler Wilson hauled in an 8-yard touchdown pass from Dalton Hill for Liberty Bell’s only score.

Kittitas 40, Oroville 6

The Hornets kept Kittitas off the board for a quarter, but once the Coyotes scored it opened the floodgates.

Kittitas scored twice in a span of 2:15 in the second quarter, then added three scores in a stretch of less than six minutes in the third quarter.

NCW 1B

ACH 86, Pateros 46

The Billygoats put 46 points on the board but that wasn’t nearly enough. The two teams combined for 19 touchdowns and 1,046 yards of offense, including 504 rushing yards by ACH.

Jason Smith threw for three touchdowns and Jerry Figueroa rushed for two more for Pateros. Nate Taylor caught four passes for 105 yards.
