Chewy lounges in the Columbia River with his family last August. Though not “a water dog,” according to his “mother,” Kären Lombard, he enjoys his time on the beach. On those hot summer days, a dip in the water can be refreshing, especially with a pair of shades and a comfy chair. Chewy, short for Chewbacca, is a 14-year-old schnauzer and lives in Wenatchee with Kären and Mark Lombard and their son, Kaden.
