SOAP LAKE — Waterville hung around for three quarters Friday night, then stunned Soap Lake with a pair of long fourth-quarter touchdowns to steal a 16-12 victory.
The Shockers trailed 12-3 after three quarters, but got back into the game on a 62-yard scoring run by Joey Velazquez, then took the lead with less than two minutes left on a 78-yard pass from Marcus Tevino to Austin Hinderer.
“I don’t know how we lost this game,” Soap Lake coach John Turner said. “They won it in the last two minutes. We just beat ourselves up.”
The Eagles dominated the stat sheet, with 18 first downs to Waterville’s four and 418 yards of offense to Waterville’s 226.
“Our kids were absolutely amazing,” Waterville coach Mickey White said. “We’re on a two-game winning streak, and if we win next week that would be four wins, which would be a heck of a season.”
Manson 27, Bridgeport 26, OT
Manson came back from a two-touchdown deficit, and stopped a two-point conversion attempt by Bridgeport in OT for the win.
Alex Escalera scored on a 20-yard run to pull the Trojans within eight, then Nate Coggins hit Carlos Pineda with a 54-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter, with Escalera running in the two-point try to tie it.
In overtime, four straight runs by Jordan Pittman resulted in a touchdown.
“Jordan Pittman was just a monster in overtime,” Bridgeport coach Eric Schmidt said. “We couldn’t stop him.”
Manson made the PAT, and even though Miguel Torres put together back-to-back
14-yard runs to get in the end zone, the Mustangs couldn’t convert on the two-point conversion in the extra frame.
La Salle 61, Entiat 8
The La Salle train kept rolling Friday as the Lightning blasted the Tigers.
Tyler Roberts scored Entiat’s lone touchdown on a 20-yard run in the third quarter. He finished with 96 yards on 19 carries.
White Swan 34, Oroville 13
The Hornets played White Swan to a scoreless tie in the first quarter, but the Cougars broke through with 20 points in the second.
Oroville’s Nick Perez rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries, but the Hornets completed just one pass — a five-yard strike from Preston Iverson to Brandon Funston for a score in the fourth quarter.
Kittitas 54, Liberty Bell 0
The Coyotes put up 40 points in the first quarter, and that was all she wrote for Liberty Bell.

East Valley 31, Quincy 25
Quincy led 12-7 in the first half but couldn’t keep East Valley off the board in the middle quarters of its loss at home.
The loss of running back/linebacker Breck Webley to a mild concussion in the second quarter put the Jacks lineup in disarray, coach Stephen Wallace said.
“We had to move guys around, because we don’t have a lot of depth at the running back and linebacker spots,” said Wallace. “(Losing Webley) kind of took the wind out of the team.”
Quarterback Jackson Hodges ran for 91 yards and three touchdowns and was 4-for-11 passing for 133 yards and no interceptions for Quincy.
Manny Ybarra added a 70-yard fumble return for a score for the Jacks.
Prosser 53, Ephrata 7
The Mustangs led 40-0 at half and kept Ephrata off the board until the fourth quarter.
Fidel Bazan had Ephrata’s lone score on a 30-yard run.
Dominic Garza caught nine passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and he added a 45-yard interception return for a score for Prosser.
Northeast 1B League
Pateros 52, Sprague-Harrington 6
Luke Bighouse threw for a pair of scores and ran for two more as the Billygoats won in a rout.
