The African Children’s Choir begins its latest tour in Washington, making an appearance in Wenatchee. Now in its 25th year, the group is made up of orphaned children from Africa serving as ambassadors for their continent. They have been featured on “American Idol,” “Good Morning America” and “Ellen,” and have performed special concerts for George W. Bush and members of the United Nations. Admission is free, but the choir accepts free will donations which go toward supporting education and aid for thousands of African children.
